The problem
KAFD is a dense district of towers, skywalks and parking levels. Visitors don't know where to go, how long the walk is, or what's open — and most maps treat it as a grey block.
What I built
- 01A 3D night map with search, building cards and walking routes on Mapbox.
- 02"Ask KAFD" — an assistant that answers with facts, not yes/no. "Should I walk to PIF Tower?" returns distance, heat and time.
- 03Every data layer is labelled: VERIFIED, PUBLIC MAP, ROUTING, NOT CONNECTED or DEMO.
- 04Arabic and English, with voice input.
Screens
What I learned
- Empty states are a feature. "No live event feed connected" is honest — and doubles as a list of the data a district would need to share.
- A heat rule (40°C by default) changes walking advice more than any routing algorithm.
Ideas & collaboration
Got something you wish existed?
Tell me what keeps bothering you. It might be a business problem, an everyday frustration, or a wild idea. I can't promise I'll build it — but I enjoy exploring interesting problems.
