The problem
In breaking news, rumours move faster than corrections, and "AI fact-checkers" that hand down confident verdicts can make it worse.
What I built
- 01Splits a post into up to five separate claims and checks each one on its own.
- 02Fixed, written rules assign one of six statuses. Ten outlets copying one report count as one source.
- 03Every quote must appear word for word in the retrieved source. Serious claims wait for a human reviewer.
No public screenshots yet — this one lives on my machine for now.
What I learned
- In a live test AMAN called a true report "contradicted". I traced three causes, fixed all three — and the human review step had held it back the whole time.
- A missing official statement is never a denial.
